Finding Parts for your Japanese Import?

A question we're often asked by prospective buyers is whether parts are difficult to source for Japanese imported vehicles?

Now, the simple answer is that the majority of parts you're likely to need, such as service & maintenance items, are very easily sourced!

So, here's our top tips when sourcing any part for your Japanese import...

  1. Input your vehicles chassis number into a website such as www.partsouq.com which will bring up the relevant electronic parts catalogues.
  2. Search the diagrams for the part you need and note down the part number.
  3. Give that part number to your local main dealer, or motor factors, who'll use it to locate a suitable component.

This simple trick can often save you £££'s as many parts cross reference with U.K. supplied models.

If you're struggling to find U.K. stock of a part then there's a number of suppliers which will ship directly from Japan such as Genuine Japanese Car Part Imports - Amayama

Or, if you want the convenience of giving somebody a quick call and parts being delivered to your door, we've had positive experiences with the following suppliers.

Subaru - The Official Roger Clark Motorsport Website

Subaru - Import Car Parts - Japanese Parts Specialists - Import Car Parts

Honda OEM - Genuine Honda Parts and Car Accessories | Cox Motor Parts

Parts that are difficult to source, due to shipping or lack of availability, are usually body parts and glass. In which case we recommend looking to the network of used part suppliers that can be found on the relevant owners communities.
